Terms and Conditions for Inspirit Martial Arts

  1. I understand that whilst Inspirit Martial Arts and its instructors strive to maintain a high level of safety and to teach techniques and methods to reduce the risk of injury, it is not possible to completely eliminate these risks. I understand that these activities involve rigorous physical exertion, close contact with other participants and potential physical contact with others, equipment and the ground. Participation in these activities is voluntary, and I am participating with full knowledge of the inherent risks involved.
  2. I shall not hold responsible Inspirit Martial Arts, its principal officials, Instructors or fellow members for any injury caused from participating in these classes.
  3. In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Martial Arts Classes, I, for myself, my heirs, personal representatives, or assigns, do hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to pursue Inspirit Martial Arts, its owners, directors, agents, instructors, and employees from liability from any and all claims resulting in personal injury, accidents, illnesses (including death), and property loss arising from, but not limited to, participation in Martial Arts activities.
  4. I consent to personal data being held by Inspirit Martial Arts for the purpose of managing the club and its activities.
  5. Membership is non transferable and all monies paid are non returnable
  6. Any failed membership payment on the date due will incur a £5 administration fee
  7. Memberships will be automatically cancelled if they are allowed to go 14 days into arrears
  8. No classes can be attended at any time a membership is in arears without the express permission of the Chief Instructor.
  9. 7 Days notice is required to cancel a membership and stop and further payments being made.
  10. If a membership is cancelled either by the customer or club due to non payment of fees, a re-joining fee of £25 will be required to restart the membership.
  11. Respect is important to the club and all members must bow upon entering and leaving the dojo.
  12. Correct uniform will be worn at all times.
  13. Members will respect their training partners and Instructors at all times.
  14. No bad language will be tolerated in the dojo.
  15. Skills learnt must not be used to bully others and should only be used in lawful self defence
  16. Class What's App Groups must be used with respect for others. No bad language is to be used and content should be appropriate and directly related to Martial Arts only. Breach of these rules will lead to removal from the group.
  17. Any member or parent not abiding by the club core values and acting in a manner that could negatively impact other students or damage the good reputation of the club will have their membership terminated without notice and with no refunds.
  18. Membership payments are calculated on the basis of 48 weeks a year. This allows for Christmas holidays. Members may get in excess of this in a year for which no extra charge will be made. There will be no training on National Bank Holidays.
  19. Everyone has set spaces in classes so if you miss your scheduled class please note you will not be able to attend a class in which you are not a member to make this up.
  20. Students must arrive prior to the class start time in order to participate. In some venues access cannot be gained to the hall if you arrive after the class start time. Instructors can refuse entry to students who arrive after the class has started.
